Add on Diploma Course :

Diploma Course in Cultural Studies in collaboration with the department of Anthropology. At Present the Department has one Ph.D. guide recognized by the Gauhati University .

Innovative Activities :

The department is conducting a course of Yoga and Pranayame under the supervision of Dr. Sudhendu Mohan Bhadra the retired teacher and Head of the Department of Sanskrit. 

Significant Achievement of the department :

One Research scholar of the department recently obtained the Ph.D. degree from the Gauhati University . Another teacher has submitted her Ph.D. thesis with the Gauhati University . Another teacher of the department is pursuing his research studies under the Gauhati University . 

Research Journals Subscribed by the Department :

• Surabharati : the annual research journel of the department of Gauhati university, Guwahati
